Travelling At Night Build Planner
Capture a combat-free thesis before Memories blur it
The Build Planner is this wiki’s interactive notepad for Travelling At Night. Use it to lock a Career (Exorcist, Writer, Conjurer, Physician), a Passion focus (Sorrow, Appetite, Curiosity, Melancholy, Whimsy, Ambition, Compassion), and three priority skills before you step into Antibes again.
Use the interactive Build Planner widget on this page to note Career, Passion, and priority skills.
Interactive Build Planner
Why a planner helps
The Introduction demo is Cultist Simulator–dense. Without notes, run two accidentally copies run one’s Charm spiral and Trace disaster. A written thesis makes Career tier experiments scientific: change one variable, board toward Mimata, compare Nenah leads and Vincent timing.
How to fill fields
- Pick Career from roleplay pages—Careers.
- Pick Passion using Passion picks or Passions.
- Pick three skills from Skill priority aligned to that Career.
- Optionally paste a starter build name in your summary.
- Play; after the run, edit the plan with what actually happened to Dread, Trace, crafts, and Footnotes.
Suggested templates
- Clinic Compass — Physician / Compassion / Dignity–Spivvery–Skolekosophy
- Riviera Notebook — Writer / Whimsy / Sophistication–Charm–Spivvery
- Threshold Clerk — Exorcist / Sorrow / Skolekosophy–Dignity–Bosk
- Midnight Marketeer — Conjurer / Appetite / Nyctodromy–Spivvery–Bosk
What to ignore in the planner
Combat rotations (none exist). Full-game companion skill trees you invent. Nineteen-outfit endgame matrices during demo week. Exact numeric thresholds that patches may retune—see Demo status.
After you save a plan
Execute with How to play, route with Antibes walkthrough, and tick Complete demo. If meters wreck the thesis mid-run, do not silently abandon the note—update it. Systems references: Crafting, Outfits, Dread & Trace.
Widget note
The interactive planner appears below as part of this page’s tool surface. If you copy a summary out, keep Career, Passion, and skills on one line so future-you can parse it at a glance. Official balance still lives with Weather Factory—planner text is fan scaffolding only.
Example filled summary
Physician | Compassion | Dignity, Spivvery, Skolekosophy | Vincent yes | Dread rite crafted | Trace moderate
Copy a line like that after each run. Four lines become a personal tier list better than generic ranks. Include one failure note—“café Charm spiral”—so run three avoids it.
Widget workflow
Set Career → set Passion → tick three skills → play an hour → return → adjust one skill. Do not reshuffle everything mid-session unless a craft hard-gates you. The interactive Build Planner widget on this page is the place to make those edits without losing the prose context above.
Anti-patterns
Editing the planner every five minutes; copying tier lists without a Passion; tracking sixteen skills as equal priorities; forgetting to mark Vincent; never recording Dread disasters; treating the widget as a game mod. Avoid these and the tool stays sharp.
Pairing with expansions
If expansions on builds pages change your mind, update the planner the same evening. Prose without notes fades; notes without prose become cruel min-max. The page layout keeps both in view on purpose.
Replay matrix
Run1 Physician Compassion Dignity-Spivvery-Skolekosophy. Run2 Writer Whimsy Sophistication-Charm-Spivvery. Run3 Exorcist Sorrow Skolekosophy-Dignity-Bosk. Run4 Conjurer Appetite Nyctodromy-Spivvery-Bosk. Four planner lines later you own personal tiers no internet argument can replace. Fill Vincent/Dread/Trace notes each time. The interactive Build Planner widget on this page is where those lines should live before they vanish into chat scrolls. Save the summary line before bed. Morning-you will not remember Appetite’s excuses. If the interactive Build Planner widget on this page holds nothing after a full clear, you studied without experimenting—fill it once belatedly so run two starts kinder.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers drawn from the demo and official notes.
Does the planner change the game?
No. It only organises your intentions on the wiki page.
How many skills should I mark?
Three priorities. Raise others when crafts or Footnotes demand.
Can I store multiple plans?
Copy summaries into your own notes between Career experiments.
What if I deviate in play?
Update the planner after Mimata so the next thesis stays honest.
